Current Research

Approaches for effective and efficient software development and evolution

My research interests include empirical software engineering, software measurement, and software quality. My current topics in the areas are as follows:
(1) Empirical software engineering: systematic approach for identifying contexts of software developments and finding appropriate development methods, practices, and processes in the contexts
(2) Software measurement: quantifying software document, measuring value of software, and investigating the relationships between source code metrics and efforts required for development activities in software maintenance and evolution
(3) Software quality: defining guides for software reviews and inspections, and knowledge acquisition by defect repository mining.
